Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2007 settings for Comcast email

1. Launch your Microsoft Outlook 2007
2. When the program is first time to be used, it will look like the photo below
3. Click the Next button
4. Select "YES" radio button and then click Next button
Your name: Type your Name
Email address: Type your Comcast full email address
Account type: Pop3
Incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net
Outgoing mail server smtp: Smtp.comcast.net
User Name: type your Comcast email address
Password: type your personal password
Remember password SHOULD BE CHECK-MARKED
SECURE PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION SHOULD NOT BE CHECK MARKED
Click MORE SETTING BUTTON to configure servers.
Type a name that you desire. You can type your name if you want
After typing your name in the MAIL ACCOUNT section of this page, click Outgoing Server button
The MY OUTGOING SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION should be Check Marked
Select USE SAME SETTINGS AS INCOMING MAIL SERVER
Then click ADVANCE TAB for server configuration
For INCOMING server port, type in 110
Box should not be check marked
For outgoing server port, type in 587
For the USE THE FOLLOWING TYPE OF ENCRYPTED CONNECTION, choose NONE
Click the OK Button to close the mini page
Click the TEST ACCOUNT SETTINGS button to test if your servers are correctly set up. You will be able to know this if you get all GREEN CHECK MARKS.
If you get all green check marks, it means you are ready to send and receive emails using your Comcast email account via outlook 2007.
